Jan Smith Walters, 61, of Liberty, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

No services will be held.

Jan was a native of Biltmore, Maryland, of the Lutheran faith and a homemaker. She was a giving person when someone needed help. She was preceded in death by parents, Jessie D. and Annie Lee Haithcock Smith, sister, Brenda Smith, brother,James Michael Smith.

Survivors: brothers, William Smith, of Liberty, Alvin Smith, of Greensboro, Richard Lee Ore, of Liberty.
