Graham Lee Moffitt, 89, of Franklinville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. The world lost an amazing man of integrity, honor and Christian love.

Funeral Services, 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Mark Beane, Rev. Bob Freeman, Jody Williams.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Graham was born in Coleridge on Mothers Day to Willie and Bessie Craven Moffitt.  He joined the Army and served his country faithfully and heroically during the Korean War. Graham retired from Acme McCrary after 45 years of service. In 1967 Graham married his loving wife of 49 years, Janet Macon. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church where he was a Trustee and secretary of his Sunday School Class. Graham enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and especially gardening. His favorite part of gardening was sharing his harvest with friends and neighbors. He lived his life by showing love, through his actions, always considerate and kindhearted. Graham had a wonderful sense of humor and had a great gift of story telling.  In addition to his parents, Graham was preceded in death by his brother, Vaughn Moffitt, sisters, Gertrude Moffitt, Ada Moffitt Cox, and brother in-law, Charles York.

Survivors: wife, Janet Macon Moffitt, of the home, step son, Barry C. Williams and wife, Janet, of Statesville, sister, Ida Moffitt York, of Ramseur, granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Williams, of Greensboro, sister in-law, Rachel Moffitt, brother in-law, Nathan Cox, numerous nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews, and his precious dog, Patches.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Randolph, especially Michele and Rosemary.  Also to special caregivers, Suzanne Ray, James Welch, Jennifer Welch and Eddie York.

Visitation, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur and other times at the residence.
